Weekend in my Home Town St. Charles Lwanga Parish Zebilla

On Monday, I recieved my appointment letter. I have been assigned to the Basilica of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows in Navrongo. This Basilica was the First Church to be built by the missionaries and it is the birthplace of the whole Catholic faith in the Northen part of Ghana.  My assignment begins on August 1, 2012 and it is only for three months prior to my Ordination. Due to this, i decided to go home to visit my uncle and to spend time to pray at the grave of my grandmother who passed on May 11, 2011 while i was still in the United States.

Praise the Lord, my soul; I shall praise the Lord all my life, sing praise to my God while I live- Ps 146:1. I thank God for all his travelling mercies. I arrived safely back home to Ghana on Monday July 2, 2012 after spending four years in the States studying for my priestly ministry. Inasmuch as I miss seeing the wonderful faces and being  with all the wonderful friends, families and loved ones in the US, I am glad to be home to see my family after being away for that long. I am looking forward to my priestly ordination on Dec. 1, 2012 and being able to see some of you my loved ones again. Thus those who will be able to come to Ghana from the St. Paul/Minneapolis and around.

I am still learning to blog so parden me for all my errors :)

After I arrived, I travelled immediately to Burkina Faso, our neighboring country for the ordination and First Mass of my former classmates from Seminary here, so these are some of the picutes from there.
